During this week, we had Ihsan coming back from JB on Monday. On Tuesday, he went for hiking with Izhar in Melaka. Good time for rebonding.
Ihsan went back to JB early Thursday morning (3 am), just in time for him to get back to work. I hope he had enough rest.
That Thursday too, I had an invitation to an MJMS workshop in Putrajaya, at DoubleTree. My eldest son drove me there. As we were arriving, I thought the place looked familiar. Later when I saw the tower below, I remember it was previously Pullman Lakeside Hotel where we had organized EQuaLS6.
The workshop was held in Puteri 3 room at the 2nd wing.
I was there only to receive the following token of appreciation for my role as Editor-in-Chief during 2016-2019.
At the time, MJMS was already Scopus-indexed. I remembered how my postdoc (ex-PhD) student, Saeid Molladavoudi help designed the LaTEX template for the journal. Before that, the journal had only MSWord template. The journal has since progressed and from the invitation, I was informed that the journal had acquired Q1 ranking within the ESCI category.
At the event, I met with Prof. Dato' Kamel Ariffin, my former boss and after the ceremony, we had our lunch together.
